In 1996, three friends calling themselves "Harmonic Company" began singing Boyz II Men songs in the hallways of Riverdale Collegiate Institute in Toronto, Canada, in total a cappella three part harmony. In the year 2000, as a quintet, the boys started calling themselves "After Hours" and began finding fans with their free evening concerts by the beach, singing in the Kew Beach Park Boat House. After Hours is now Toronto's only doo-wop a cappella quartet, singing the songs of yesterday in total four part harmony in the tradition of street corner singing.
